Congrats To Clintwood

Well I for one know all the Raiders are worried about is the "LB" and then Clintwood. Like someone has said there was probably a bunch of the players there in different parts of the stadium. Some are players and other are "Players" the ones who get the majority of game time and I bet those guys aren't taking them lightly. The smack talk I hear from around town is the young kids who get mop up duty and haven't earned put in the work to get the accolades the upperclasmen have. As for someone saying Burton had 12 Seniors and only 5 of them getting significant playing time last time I checked they have 10 Sr's and 7 of them are Starters and the other 3 kids are 1st year players.
Anyway not to hijack the thread, but it was a very exciting game and congats to CW, as for the GC fans every town has them you just don't see them until their team is losing or having a bad year.

Burton is playing at an incredible level. I hope that Clintwood can play with them, but as much as Clintwood has improved (IMO), they have to improve that much more for that to happen.

Oh take of your light blue glasses now! Had Burton not turned the ball over on their own 20, or pv got lucky and ran a punt back it would have been a shut out. Burton could also have scored wons more on the little boys in blue!

I told one of our coaches before the game, first 4 minutes of the game determined the game. If we could play with GC and not get smacked down quick, we had a shot. GC isn't super-young but they are not experienced, thats what I think Ironlung was saying and GC was saying back to him. They have some mid-upper classmen who just haven't had a lot of playing time (particularly line). I don't think anybody thinks they are down that far, just down for them.

Both crowds were pretty pathetic. I think 1/3 of Clintwood crowd showed up after the half, too many was listening on the radio and decided it might be good. I'll agree with Jason, and I heard his section up there, because I was cussing the cowbells [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Nahhhh *lol* Its just a fun thing to pick on (IMO). I think it does more for the ones ringing it than it does against the ones hearing it. I honestly never hear them unless the game is ugly and there is a timeout or something, then kind of catch sound of them, otherwise I zone out during the game lol

If you knew the intent of the post then you'd know I was trying to give Burton credit.

I'm sure it may have been a shut out. I don't know. I wasn't there. Would have, could have, should have doesn't mean anything. What happened happend. Burton still won.

By saying PV is best team they`ll play. Appalachia gave Burton as good agame as PV did. Thug Valley should just concentrate on keeping their kids out of trouble. It`s like a Rock & Roll band, Sex, drugs and Rock and Roll!
Which thug was tossed from the game last night?

Ah Coach Mullins will tell us the same thing, that he does every week... that we have Kelly on Friday night and thats who were going to study... also we need to concentrate on the green team because that all that we can control...
